Curved Tail:

A low tail may indicate fear or threat. It also indicates when the cat feels defensive or submissive. If the tail is covering the cat’s anus then they are in a defensive mood and can turn aggressive. Tail tucked under the belly signal that the cat is in a submissive mood. If the tail is simply straight down-and-out, it may indicate aggression. You should be aware that Persian breed cats tend to carry their tail down gratuitously.

Tail Tucked Apart Or Below The Body:

A tail curved under or around the body indicates panic or submission. Cats often do when something is bothering them. It may cause of they are in pain, defensive mood, or feeling sick. At this time make your cat’s surrounding relaxed and stress-free. If you notice your cat doing this continuously for few days consult your vet immediately.

Fluffed Up Tail

A sudden or severe threat can make your cat puff up their tail with an arched back. Cats make their hair stands to appear larger; this indicates their defensive mood and should leave alone. This posture may occur when they feel scared by other unknown pets or animals. Don’t try to approach while their hair is standing they may feel more frightened and can respond aggressively.

Wagging Tail:

If your cat is moving her tail there might be two postures you should be aware of. First, if the tail is wagging back and forth at the end; it indicates the cat’s interest and alertness of something that is going on. Second, if the tail is wagging side to side strongly; it indicates aggression, excitement, or irritation. Stay away considering it as a warning.

Swishing Tail:

In the action where your cat is moving her tail slowly side to side; it is a sign of focus or concentration. It is often seen when a cat is focusing on a playing toy, other known pet, or dropped meal from the food bowl. They are ready to pounce! Stalking and pouncing is a part of healthy nourishment for your cat, so never disturb them when they are busy focusing on whatever they like.

Wrapped Tail:

Cat wraps their tail with their two-legged friends as well as with other feline friends. Wrapping of tails indicates friendship and willingness to interact. It just like we humans puts our arm around our friends.
